BlueNet is a great example of a platform for sharing, discovery, access and online integration of marine research data sets. The participating government agencies are Bureau of Meteorology, CSIRO, Geoscience, Australian Antarctic Division, Royal Australian Navy and Australian Institute of Marine Science. There might be lessons here for sharing all types of data sets generated by government agencies.
